Description
On the track, a 100 meter relay runner harnesses the power of a cheetah to run her fastest to help her team to first place. She sets her feet in the blocks and takes a deep breath. Excitement and nervous energy thrive in her chest but the second the gun goes off it transforms into energy as she flies around the curve toward her teammate. She can no longer hear the cheering crowd because all her focus is on passing the baton to her teammate, hopefully ensuring their victory. As the team works around the track they fluctuate between first place and second; it's a neck and neck race. In the end the cheetah girls' team crosses the finish line in first place. The team who is exhausted but happy move on to finals which take place in a couple of hours... Then the ritual of the race begins again for her and she cannot wait.
It has been a little over a year since I ran track but I can still imagine that nervous energy while waiting for the start of my race. I miss it immensely but being able to relive it with my art is perfect.
This is a little bit different and I loved doing these, I have multiple pictures similar to this... I will share more in the next few days.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI like this very much. The composition is great on this and the use of line work is all over the page. The use of texture is amazing. I like the craftsmanship it is well done. proportions seem to be correct if not strongly close to correct. I really do enjoy the patterns and textures on display here. The ground, grass, fur, skin, and clothes all are done wonderfully.
The background is nice the wavy natural lines of the tall stalks of golden grass against the horizontal lines separates the two horizons very well. I like the texture of the red track. I feel perspective needs a little work, closer should be larger and much more detailed the contour should be darker, all the lines seem to be the same width as it get closer to us. but you did, however, successfully make the red gravel larger as it got closer so I give you credit for that.
I feel there should be more shading done especially on the girl she kind of fades into the background. The idea of her being a cheetah is really good and I would have loved for her to stand out more. Shading her and giving her contour a little more attention would have helped. Also, I am uncertain if the jersey color is representing a particular team, if not using a color harmony would help her stand out more.
